A throwback to a simpler time, McSorley's Old Ale House is the oldest saloon that has been continuously operated in all of New York. Historical figures from past and present have frequented this bar, that serves two types of beer: light and dark.

Worth a visit
McSorley's is probably a good place to go just once. It's really cool and historical, but it gets overrun by tourists and it can make the local looking for a pint feel overwhelmed. Go during the off hours if you can and enjoy one of their two delicious pints.
