Slightly edgy, comfortable and low key, Scratcher is a dive bar located in the always popping East Village that features laid back service, a rambunctious crowd and reasonable prices on beer and their strong mixed drinks.

Good music, questionable service
I'm mixed on Scratcher. The people are pretty cool and the prices are good, but the bartenders can be really standoffish sometimes, like they're doing you a big favor. The bathrooms are rather disgusting as can be expected at any dive bar in the village so no surprise.
