Little Shamrock

"The Little Shamrock" at 807 Lincoln Way near Ninth Avenue is the Sunset District's oldest business, serving drinks in the same location since the 1890s. The story goes that Antone Herzo and his wife opened their pub on October 28, 1893, to serve the thirsty workmen who were creating the Midwinter Fair in Golden Gate Park. The bar recognized this date in a centennial celebration in 1993.
