Dougherty’s Pub

During the turn of the century , the Pub building was originally used as The Baltimore Automobile & Manufacturing Co. The building last functioned as a warehouse when it was purchased by Bill Dougherty in 1989. During construction, Bill continued to run his former bar, fifty yards down the block, known as the Irish Pub. We began building the pub in March of 1993; it was truly a family affair. Bill’s brother Len was the primary builder and contractor in charge of the truly amazing transformation from a warehouse to the Pub as we now know it. You can view Len’s web site at www.lendougherty.com, to get a look at some of his beautiful hand made wooden furniture.

After a year of work, including much help from family and friends on weekends with painting, tiling, installation and cleaning, we closed the doors on The Irish Pub and opened the doors on Doughertys Pub, March 7, 1994…just in time for St. Patrick’s Day.
