Cantine Parisienne is a contemporary Parisian bistro, in the heart of New York’s up-and-coming Nolita neighborhood. Situated at the corner of the Kenmare and Elizabeth streets, this naturally lit bar, restaurant, and café offers more than just a cure for your next French-inspired craving. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, guests can enjoy this neighborhood spot whether grabbing a quick espresso and catching up on the morning news, discussing business over a lunch meeting, or relaxing with a cocktail early evening or with friends post-dinner.
Cantine Parisienne offers up a typical French cuisine along with New York downtown classics. Breakfast is served daily beginning at 7:00AM with a buffet style offering in addition to a la carte options ranging from organic eggs to a fresh fruit salad. The lunch offering revolves primarily around easy and light dishes where guests can find a multitude of palate provoking items including fresh soups, salads, sandwiches and the Cantine Burger. The dinner menu presents French classics like pate de foie, cod filet, and tender veal escalope, along with American interludes including a club sandwich and homemade cheesecake. Daily seasonal specials are also available.
Cantine Parisienne possesses a full bar and cocktail program, incorporating the trending style of mixology through handcrafted cocktails and tailored Parisian classics. Special house cocktails – all connected in some form to the city of lights – include the Metz Daiquiri and the Jane Birkin. The wine list includes a multitude of boutique wines from select French regions and offers large selection by the glass.
Adjacent to the Nolitan hotel, Cantine Parisienne entertains the qualities of a laid-back Parisian lifestyle. The open space–comprised of the bar, the café/lounge, and the dining room–takes on a modern approach. A magazine rack displays an array of classic glossy magazines while the twenty-foot open windows allow for people-watching the busy foot traffic throughout the day. The stark white marble tables and seating gives the bistro an all-encompassing bright and airy vibe with sunshine filling the room. Chrome, steel and light grey colors accent the white coloring throughout the 74-seated restaurant along with splashes of vibrant blue and red chairs dispersed randomly throughout. A variety of colorful flower arrangements compliment the space, adorning booth corners and separating the café from the dining room. Modern art light fixtures add a refreshing feel to the progressively thought-out atmosphere.
