When you relax with a drink at The Lister Arms, you’ll discover a well stocked bar serving the finest Thwaites cask ales and European bottled beers. Guests can sample the renowned Wainwright Golden Ale and Thwaites Lancaster Bomber, plus our guest ale Thwaites Nutty Black.

In addition, our Head Brewer, has created 13 seasonal beers (a brewer’s dozen) – which are brewed in small quantities and when they’re gone, they’re gone. We’ve listed the next few months below for you – we hope you enjoy drinking them as much as Steve and the team enjoyed creating them.
2016 SIGNATURE ALES
March
- Sapling – Bitter – 3.8% – With a subtle caramel and biscuit sweetness balanced with a well-rounded bitterness, with fruity ans spicy notes.
- Copper Peel – Bitter – 3.6% – Brewed using a blend of malts with a biscuity background and intense Seville marmalade aroma and flavour.
- Four Leaf – Premium Bitter – 4.5% – Brewed with four hops, caramel and biscuit flavours, and hints of spicy molasses and chocolate.
- Beer O’Clock – Single Hop Bitter – 4.3% – Single hop Chinook gives pine and grapefruit flavours and aroma. This translates into a sharp, bitter and citrus taste.
- Resurrection – Golden Ale – 3.9% – English Marris Otter malt and delicate German hops give an initial sweetness and a refreshing citrus hop character.
