The Volunteer, previously known as the White Lion was rebuilt in 1898 to commemorate the Sale and Ashton volunteers; who gathered in 1803 to fight the possible Napoleonic invaders. Since then, the pub has become a social hub for drinkers, sports fans and travelers looking to quench their thirst and enjoy some weekly entertainment. The Volunteer caters for all types of functions and parties. For more information, please contact us.
