Sunchaser – The Ale Of Champions. Why Not Have It For Breakfast?
(Updated: December 12, 2013)
Taste

Sunchaser is quite unique, as it seems to have exactly the right balance for a much too drinkable ale. Its sweetness rests around the 3/5 mark and its bitterness is a meagre 1.5/5, which means that the flavour really comes through. Tones of citrus zest come through subtly as you make your way through it. The taste is such that it is an ale you could stick to throughout an evening, as it is light, but feels like a proper ale.

Score: 8/10

Aroma

The ale has a delicate but sweet scent, with citrus notes tickling the palate.

Score: 7/10

Appearance

A light golden straw colour, with a strong moustache grabbing head on top.

Score: 7/10

Value For Money

You can find Sunchaser typically for around £3.80, but is definitely good value for this price.

Score: 7/10

Brewing Uniqueness

Sunchaser is brewed using a lager malt, with hops from Hallertau, Saaz and Tettnang. These give it a light but more complex flavour than most blonde ales.
