5 Rooftop Bars in Bangkok

5 Rooftop Bars in Bangkok

If you’re looking for the perfect place to chill out, away from the overwhelming chaos and crowded streets of Bangkok then you’re in luck! This is a city offering an abundance of cool and exciting rooftop bars. Whether you visit in the daytime or hit just as the sun sets, there’s a bar for every budget, giving you the chance to look down over the bustling city with a cold beverage in hand – what more do you need?

Sky Bar at Sirocco

The Dome at Sate Tower 1055 Silom Road, Bangrak, Bangkok 10500

For the utmost in luxury, no night out in Bangkok is complete without enjoying a few cocktails at Sirocco. Perched 64 floors above the busy streets at the top of The Dome at Sate Tower, this rooftop bar boasts an impressive 360° view over the city. With an outdoor staircase, an open-air deck and live jazz floating through the air, this certainly is an unbeatably picturesque slice of luxury.

The Long Table

25th Floor, 48 Column Tower, Sukhumvit Soi 16, Klongtoey, Bangkok

This ultra-modern and ultra-stylish bar is surprisingly relaxed and low-key without compromising on good taste. The Long Table is located 25 floors up and has sophisticated low-lighting, cool architecture and a nicely ambient mood. The dress code is more laidback than the likes of Sirocco but it’s still pretty smart-casual. What’s more, the bar is home to what is probably the best view from an outdoor swimming pool in the whole city!

The Nest

9th Floor, Le Fenix Hotel, Sukhumvit 11, Klongtoey-Nua,Wattana, Bangkok 10110

With chairs designed to resemble bird’s nests, The Nest offers the perfect mix between style and comfort. With an easy-going but supercool atmosphere and your choice of flowing conversation, dining or partying, it’s easy to while away the hours here – just try not to fall asleep after curling up in one of the hammock-like seats. After 9pm, this stylish lounge offers up-tempo beats and more of a party-like atmosphere.

Gazebo

44 Roof Top, Jakrapong Rd, Pranakorn, Bangkok 10200

Khao San Road is known worldwide as the backpacking mecca of Bangkok, with the rooftop bars here more on the bohemian-budget side of luxury. The most well-known is Gazebo, filled with Moroccan style shisha pipes, comfy cushions to hang out on and laidback tunes floating through the airwaves. Head here for the ultimate carefree hangout in a heartily social atmosphere where everyone is your friend. Be warned though, its popularity means that it can get quite busy!

Suksabai

Kaosarn Rd, Bangkok, 10200

Less well known than Gazebo and therefore less crowded, Suksabai is located on Soi Rambutree which runs parallel to Khao San Road. To find it, head to the Suksabai restaurant at street level and take the rickety-seeming lift up to the roof terrace. There are four rooms of music so depending on what night you go, you’ll either get a laidback drink on the balcony or an evening with a full-on party vibe.

Head over to the Sin City of Asia if you need a change of scenery to relax and relieve stress. Expedia have great deals on flights to Bangkok.
