Alcohol and Coffee Combinations You Need to Try

image-1

Coffee and alcohol are two of the popular drinks that many of us know and love. They may be at opposite ends of the beverage spectrum, but they can make a great combination. Alcohol and coffee make a great beverage for parties, for pulling an all-nighter, for starting your day with an extra kick, and many other uses. Also, coffee is a versatile beverage and can go well with many alcoholic drinks. To kick your beverage experience up a notch, read on as we suggest some alcohol and coffee combinations that you might want to try.

Irish Coffee

When it comes to mixing caffeine and alcohol, there is always a matter of taste that goes with it. Hot coffee and Irish whiskey are a match meant for each other when it comes to flavor. The smooth, light, and fruity taste of whiskey combined with the delicious blend of sweetness and bitterness makes a surprisingly stimulating taste. Even if you’re on the go, making a quick mix using a fully automatic brewer for your coffee and half part of Irish whiskey, a teaspoon of brown sugar and an ounce of fresh cream can bring out a magical drink that you and your friends will love. Being easy to prepare, you can always make your homemade version of Irish coffee to enjoy.

Espresso Martini

A well-mixed vodka or gin, coffee liqueur, espresso, and simple syrup make a good concoction of an espresso martini. If you love fancy glasses and fancy mixes of coffee and alcohol, you’ll be in for a treat with the espresso martini. The smoothness of espresso and the bitter, sweet, and smooth taste of martini combine for a lively and hyped up beverage experience.

Hot White Russian

Good evidence of the popularity of alcohol and coffee combination is that some international mixes and drinks are attributed to a particular country, particularly drink called white Russian. Don’t be fooled by the seemingly harmless color, as this coffee and alcohol-infused drink pack quite a punch. The cocktail consists of coffee, Kahlua (a type of coffee liqueur), heavy cream, and an adjustable volume of vodka according to your taste and tolerance. Due to the higher volume of coffee in the mix, you’ll only taste a hint of alcoholic bite or sting, but be careful with your first drink, as it can leave your head spinning if you chug it down. The drink is best savored in light, occasional sips, which makes it a good social drink to get you in the mood for mingling and socializing.

Siciliano

Another international mix and with a distinctly Italian touch is Siciliano. If you’re still new to alcohol and coffee mixes, this is the perfect choice for you. This lightly alcoholic cocktail will give you your first palatal adventure into the world of coffee and alcohol mixes. It’s classic includes a few ounces of sweet Italian vermouth, Amaro Averna and cold brew coffee, which will give you a myriad of palate wonders, which include a velvety and smooth taste, hints of licorice and orange and notes of chocolate and coffee. Such exquisite taste makes this beverage fit for post-supper drinks and for enjoying a long, relaxing evening.
