Back when I first turned 21, I would go to Rick's (when it was New Orleans Nights) on a weekly basis with my guy friends to hang out and drink beer while watching them drool! We always went on Sundays, and the staff got to know us pretty well! After...
I remember the first time I had heard of Filthy McNastys. I was at another bar in West Exchange, and I wanted to visit there just because of the out of the ordinary name! I walked in and fell in love because there was acoustic performances by local artists. Filthy's...
Bar 9 is cool because it's more of a low key bar. If you don't like loud music then you can go up to the 2nd floor where it's still hype, but with the music playing in the background rather than being the only thing you hear.
I totally dig this bar! I'm a beer drinker and Home Plate offers awesome beer specials on a daily basis. The bartenders are some of the friendliest people around, and I feel at home.
Paddy Reds Irish Pub is one of those bars that you just have to check out. They have an enormous selection of beers, a decent selection on their jukebox, and a large projection screen for entertainment! It's pretty cool that the customers have the option to valet park or use...
The Moon Bar is a great little place to go if you enjoy live music. I absolutely LOVE live music, so this is a fun place! Even better, it's about to be relocated to Ridglea Theatre which is where I spent a lot of my later teen and early adult...
Lone Star in Sundance Square is one of the coolest places! It's actually the only bar of it's type (six in one) that has succesfully lasted, and I can clearly see why. The Stage is my favorite place at this location because of the live music, but the other bars...
Straight Tequila Night is pretty cool if you drink nothing but Tequila. Of course, with my luck, it's the only thing in the world that gives me heartburn so I don't drink it often, if at all. I had to check out this bar from my curiosity, and it turned...
For those avid beer drinkers, The Alamo Beer Bar is the best place to enjoy some quality downtime. It's one of the six bars at Lone Star in Sundance Square, and it provides great entertainment for the bar hoppers. The bartenders are awesome and the crowd is always pleasant!...
My ultimate favorite thing to do is listen to live music! I love going to concerts, and I'm a country girl at heart so The Stage and their Texas Country Night is awesome! I love this bar so much, and it's a pretty big place. On top of that, there's...
If you're into karaoke and singing then Star Bar is definitely the place for you to go. I can't handle long hours of people singing especially if they aren't great! It's humorous and enjoyable to watch, and the cast is exceptional as well as the friendliest set of staff members...
Derrick's is a really cool place to go if you like to dance. I prefer pubs and bars to night clubs, but I had to check it out. I had an extremely awesome time, and the bartenders are SO nice and treat customers as they should.
BoomerJack's is a really neat place. There are 4 locations around the area, but I always like to stick to Fort Worth. The bartenders are amazing, and they really get into the sports games on television which helps hype up the customers!
I am from Burleson, so Lil Bit of Texas was definitely a bar I wanted to check out when it opened. It's a chill little bar like Cheers. It's a small place so everyone knows everyone that walks in the door! I love that. Halftime Grill has excellent food for...
The great thing about The Silverado Room is the atmosphere it attracts. The staff is extremely friendly, and they always make me feel like I'm at home or I've been going there for years! It's inside Neon Moon, which allows 18 and up, so the crowd can get a little...
I have only been to Neon Moon a couple of times, and I didn't love it because of all the under agers they allow in. It's 18 and up, but they always tend to get out of control. The bar plays great music, and it's open until 4 AM! However,...
I have been to The Thirsty Armadillo a few times and had a blast. It's definitely one of the smallest bars in the Stockyards, but those are the best in my opinion. There are only a few tables inside, but there is a decent size dance floor for the bands...
White Elephant Saloon has always been a top favorite of mine. It's close to The Cadillac and the staff is amazing. You will sometimes find a few drunken cowboys that might try to start fights, but they don't get too obnoxious and riled up.
Duke's is a bit more expensive than other places in the area, but if you have a larger crowd then it's pretty cool. The Tower of Power holds a lot of beer and it's brought to your table. As any other restaurant, there is a full bar, but this is...
This is my favorite bar in Fort Worth, especially during the summer. You can sit on the patio and watch the sunset and all the boats flying across the water. It leaves youu breathless.
Hyena's was the first comedy club I had ever been to, and it was one of the best experiences in my life!! The comedians there are hilarious, and they pick on the crowd like any other comedian. The food is delicious and the drinks are great!
The Pour House in Fort Worth is very exciting with its different daily specials and activities. Cowtown Idol and the DJ Spinoff competition are really cool to watch with friends and drink some tasty drinks!
Billy Bob's is known for being the world's largest honky tonk bar for a reason! The only unfortunate thing is that it's hard to see the bands play unless you arrive super early. They sound great playing, but you just can't see well from the back. There is plenty of...
I have been to Sherlock's one time, and that was when I went to the Cowboys game last season. Around the stadium, spectators can choose to spend at least $40 in the square to get shuttled over to the stadium rather than paying $60 to park. The food at Sherlock's...
Rick O'Sheas is a medicore bar to go to. If you're just looking to sit back and relax with some friends and a cold beer then you should definitely check out Rick O'Sheas.
My dad & I used to to No Frills every Tuesday and enjoy the $2 draft beers while munching down on some appetizers. Their food at No Frills is insanely awesome, and my office usually goes there during lunch because their $50 burger meals are to die for!
I LOVE Spencer's! It's a phenomenal bar with some of the best bands and great drink specials! I love beer pong so Wednesday nights are the most fun to me, and of course, the weekends!
The first time I went to Black Gold I wrestled in baby oil with my roommate, at the time, and won $75 just for doing it!! Black Gold always has great entertainment, and it's never boring! I just wish it was closer to my house.
The first time I went to the Aardvark I saw Bowling for Soup, who was one of my favorite bands at that time! It's a really cool bar if you just want to kick back and watch a band.
The Flying Saucer was one of the first bars that I went to when I was of age, but it was not a great first experience. The waiter was quite rude, but I figured he was having a bad day. I went back a couple of years later and had...
Pete's Piano Bar is one of the top rated places I have been to! Of all the bars in downtown Fort Worth, this is one of my favorites. The piano players are absolutely amazing & are an incredible crowd pleaser!
I absolutely LOVE Texas Country music. It's one of my favorites, so I enjoy going to 8.0's on Wednesdays when 95.9 The Ranch is out there. It's a great place to hang out with friends and people watch!
The Library is an incredibly fun place to go! I enjoy it greatly and definitely recommend it to everyone! The patio looks over downtown, and it's absolutely gorgeous at night!
I have always loved Fox and the Hound! It never fails that I have a great time when I go. The drinks are pretty pricey, but it's worth it for the good time.
I haven't been to Cowtown many times, but the times I have gone it was just okay. It wouldn't be my first choice of bars, but if you're looking for a cozy little pub then this is a great place.
Burleson is the first town I know of that had an Overtime Sports Bar. I went there quite often. The one on Beach opened up recently, and I have been there as well. It's a bigger place with awesome food and great entertainment.
I used to live by Wet Willie's and I enjoyed going there. I always went on a weekday, though, so there wasn't ever a crowd. I heard some amazing country bands play there, too! It has only been open about a year, so the crowd will definitely grow!
I LOVE hole-in-the-wall bars! They are the best, and The Mule is definitely one of my favorites. The first time I went there, Scott Copeland was playing and he was new to me. Needless to say, I went back time and time after that!
Some of my fondest memories are at Woody's Tavern! I saw Jason Boland there live, and fell in love with the place! They have a fantastic crew of people working there!
I've always gone to Papa G's with my co-workers, and it never fails that we have a fantastic time!
